At Toridoll, we have established a Legal Affairs Division with an in-house lawyer, to strengthen our compliance with laws and regulations. The lawyer’s expertise in law and their unique capability of finding and solving problems help us prevent incidents, resolve accidents promptly, and improve the ethics of employees.
Toridoll has established Internal Audit Rules and an Internal Audit Office which reports directly to the President and CEO. The Internal Audit Office formulates audit policies and annual plans, audits the status of business execution based on the designated rules for Group companies and each department at the headquarters, evaluates the status of rule development and operation, and makes proposals for improvements. Audit results are reported to the President and CEO and the Audit and Supervisory Committee members (outside directors).
In accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act, Toridoll has established a system to detect, investigate and correct fraudulent activities at an early stage, through establishing Internal Whistleblowing Rules and an internal whistleblower hotline which connects directly to the Internal Audit Office. Whistleblower reports are received via telephone, e-mail, written documents, visits, and web forms (external hotline). Depending on the case, a survey team is formed for an appropriate response.

In addition, the Human Resources Planning Division of the Organization Development Department and the labor union have established consultation desks such as "Consultation Desk for Labor Issues" and "Kokoro (Mind) and Body Consultation Desk".
Toridoll has an audit contract with KPMG AZSA LLC, which provides an environment in which independent and fair accounting audits are conducted, such as by providing correct management information. The Audit and Supervisory Committee and the Internal Audit Office of the Company conduct audits in cooperation with KPMG AZSA LLC at least four times a year, coordinating and cooperating with each other.
